DJ Rousseau's experience with the Underground literally began
in the truest sense of the word. The Fallout Shelter in Raleigh,
NC was at one time used for that very purpose, but in 1992 it
was the best place to go for dancing. Experiencing what he had
only touched on in a trip to Europe, he quickly began going
to parties up in Washington D.C., then up and down the East
Coast from Boston to Miami and everyplace in between. After
a few years and many miles later, he wanted to spread those
very sounds back home and started to DJ at WKNC-FM. Begun in
1994, Rousseau had his own mix show before finally rolling it
into Afterhours, one of the biggest radio dance shows in the
Carolinas airing four nights a week for three hours.
While crafting
his djing skills after those of Scott Henry and Terry Mullen,
Rousseau began to dj at various one-off parties and clubnights
all over the Carolinas. Rousseau's usual track list includes
the booty house-shaking tunes to the lush trance anthems.
